Early Tuesday morning, a man in his 50s lost his life in a traffic accident in County Cork, reports RTE.
Around 12.15 a.m., a single vehicle collided on the N71 in Clonakilty town.

At the scene, the man—who was riding alone—was declared dead, reports RTE.
After being taken to Cork University Hospital, his remains will undergo a post-mortem investigation.
There were no other recorded injuries, reports RTE.
There are local detours in place and the route has been blocked.
The Garda are asking anybody who saw the incident, especially drivers who may have dashcam or other camera evidence, and who were in the vicinity between midnight and 12.30am, to call the Clonakilty Garda Station at 023 882 1570 or the Garda Confidential Line at 1800 666 111, reports RTE.
