
A man has lost his life following an incident on a farm in County Tipperary, reports The Mirror.
Gardaà have launched an investigation into all aspects of the man’s death, which occurred after an accident at a farm in Ardfinnan at approximately 11:30am on Tuesday, April 29. The man, who was in his 60s, died at the scene. At this time, Gardaà do not suspect foul play.
His remains were taken to University Hospital Waterford, where a post-mortem will be carried out. The findings of that examination will guide the direction of the Garda investigation, reports The Mirror.
The Health and Safety Authority (HSA) was alerted and attended the scene. The County Coroner has also been informed, and a file will be compiled for the Coroner’s Court. A Garda spokesperson confirmed that investigations are ongoing.
A garda spokesperson told The Irish Mirror: “Gardaà are investigating all of the circumstances surrounding the death of a man on a farm at Ardfinnan, Co. Tipperary, at approximately 11:30am on Tuesday, 29th April, 2025. The man, aged in his 60s, was pronounced dead at the scene. His body has been removed to University Hospital Waterford for a postmortem examination, the results of which will determine the course of the Garda investigation. The Health and Safety Authority (HSA) was notified and attended the scene. The County Coroner has been notified and a file will be prepared for the Coroner’s Court. Investigation ongoing,” reports The Mirror.
