
A man in his 70s has died after a house fire broke out in Co Tipperary yesterday evening.
Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene following reports of a blaze at a home in Carrigeen, Clonmel, at around 6pm, reports RTE.
The man was declared dead at the scene, and his body was taken to University Hospital Waterford for a post-mortem examination.
No other injuries have been reported, reports RTE.
Gardaí said the area has been sealed off to allow for a technical examination.
