Tributes paid to man killed in crash on N7 that saw multiple people injured




Tributes have been paid to a man who sadly died and five others were injured following a collision on the N7 near Rathcoole, Co Dublin, on Sunday evening, reports RTE.

The incident, which involved a truck and two cars, took place in the westbound lane at approximately 6.40pm.

The truck driver was declared dead at the scene, and his remains were taken to the Whitehall mortuary where a post-mortem will be carried out, reports RTE.

Five additional individuals were brought to hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.

The road was temporarily closed to allow for a forensic examination but has since been reopened, reports RTE.

Gardaí are appealing to the public for witnesses to come forward.

They are especially interested in hearing from road users who may have camera footage and were on the N7 near Rathcoole between 6.30pm and 7pm yesterday.
