A mother of two with a “heart of gold” who tragically passed away while on holiday in America has sadly been buried in County Tyrone. As part of her 30th birthday festivities, Sarah Reid, who resided in the Moy but was originally from the Banbridge region, is said to have been on vacation in New York with her husband Darren, reports The Mirror.

She tragically died on February 10 after suffering a sudden and severe medical emergency. Gary Black started a GoFundMe campaign to help the family with “financial uncertainties” related to travel and medical costs, and it has generated more than £72,231 (€86,890).

The “dearly loved wife of Darren, Clairefield Grange, Killyman, Dungannon,” according to a family announcement, is Sarah. devoted and kind mother of Harry and Alexander, beloved daughter of William and Madeleine, Irvine’s best sister, Harold and Olive’s daughter-in-law, sister-in-law Judith, and Charline (Eglish, Dungannon), reports The Mirror.

According to Belfast Live, her funeral took place on Wednesday at Derrygortreavy Parish Church in Dungannon. “We are saddened to hear the news of the passing of the young woman Sarah Reid, who you all have been praying for, who had taken very ill on the trip to America for her birthday,” the Country And Southern Gospel Team wrote in a social media post.

“We ask that you all would please uphold Sarah’s husband Darren and their two sons along with Sarah’s parents and the family circle very much in prayer at this heartbreaking time for them all. We pray that they will know of the comfort and presence of the Lord at this time of great sadness and heartbreak. Our condolences and deepest sympathy and our thoughts and prayers are sent to all the family circle, from all the Country And Southern Gospel Team and CASG Family,” reports The Mirror.

One friend said: “Sarah had a heart of gold and will be deeply missed by so many. She loved and cared for others beyond measure. Praying for Darren, the boys and the rest of the family circle,” reports The Mirror.
