A man in his 20s has died following a motorcycle accident in County Waterford, reports RTE.

The incident happened on the R675 at Ballinahilla, near Bunmahon, at approximately 11.45pm last night.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, and his remains have been taken to University Hospital Waterford, where a post-mortem examination will be conducted, reports RTE.

There were no other vehicles involved in the crash.

The road has been closed to allow for a technical investigation, and local diversions are currently in effect.
