
A man in his 50s has passed away following a collision while riding a motorcycle in Co Waterford on Wednesday, reports RTE.
The incident, which involved a car and a motorcycle, happened in Monvoy, Tramore at approximately 7.40pm on Wednesday evening.
The motorcyclist was taken to University Hospital Waterford, where he later died, reports RTE.
A man in his 60s was taken into custody at the scene and has since been charged in relation to the crash.
He is scheduled to appear before a special sitting of Waterford District Court this evening, reports RTE.
Gardaà have appealed for anyone with knowledge about the crash to come forward.
They are particularly seeking information from individuals who were in the Monvoy Cross area between 7.30pm and 7.50pm and may have seen the incident, reports RTE.
In particular, they have urged any road users who passed through the area and may have relevant footage, such as dash cam recordings, to share it with investigators.
