Arguably one of the greatest jockeys of all time, Lester Piggott has this morning at the age of 86.
Piggot won his first race at the age of 12 and won his last at the age of 59.
He only retired in 1995 and took up commentary and some training.
His daughter is well known RTE racing presenter Tracey Piggott.
It’s understood he passed away Sunday morning in Switzerland.
