Tributes have poured in for former RTÉ 2FM DJ and television host Simon Young who has sadly died aged 70.
The radio star, whose real name was Thomas Meade, began his career in the 1970s on pirate radio and as a DJ.
He was known for hosting shows like The Beatbox and appearing on Dempsey’s Den, hosted by Ian Dempsey where he always had a lot of fun with Zig and Zag.
Social media users have posted tributes saying that Simon was “good fun and easy going”.
