Tributes paid to teenager who sadly died in single-vehicle collision in Co Kildare




A teenage boy has died after a single-vehicle crash in Newbridge, Co Kildare, on Thursday evening, reports Breaking News.

The crash, which involved a pick-up truck, occurred shortly after 8pm on Barrettstown Road.

The passenger, a male in his late teens, was transported to Naas General Hospital but was later pronounced dead, reports Breaking News.

The Coroner has been notified, and a post-mortem examination is scheduled to take place.

The driver, also a male teenager, was taken to Tallaght Hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening, reports Breaking News.

No other injuries have been reported.

The road remains closed while Garda Forensic Collision Investigators conduct an examination, and diversions are currently in place.

Gardaí are asking anyone who witnessed the collision to come forward, reports Breaking News.

They are particularly appealing to drivers with camera footage (including dash-cam) who were in the area between 7.45pm and 8.15pm to provide it to investigators.
