Tributes paid to woman (70s) who has died after single-vehicle collision

A woman has died in hospital after sustaining injuries in a single-vehicle crash in Castleisland, Co Kerry, on Wednesday.

The collision occurred on the N23 at Lisheenbaun at around 11.40pm, reports Breaking News.

The driver and only occupant of the vehicle, a woman in her 70s, was taken from the scene to Kerry University Hospital, where she later died.

Gardaí are continuing to appeal for witnesses to the incident to come forward, reports Breaking News.

Road users who may have video footage, including dash-cam recordings, and who were travelling on the N23 in the Lisheenbaun, Castleisland area between 11.20pm and 11.50pm are asked to provide it to investigating gardaí.

Gardaí have said investigations into the collision are ongoing.
