
A woman has died following a single-vehicle collision in Kildorrery, Co Cork, on Sunday morning.
The crash took place on the N73 Mallow-Dublin Road at approximately 7.25am, reports Breaking News.
The driver, a woman in her 20s who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Her remains have been removed to the local mortuary, where a post-mortem examination will be carried out in due course, reports Breaking News.
The Coroner has been notified.
The N73 is currently closed between Kildorrery Village and the R522 while Garda Forensic Collision Investigators carry out a technical examination of the scene, with local diversions in place, reports Breaking News.
Gardaà are appealing for any witnesses to the collision to come forward.
Road users who may have camera footage — including dash-cam footage — from the area of the N73 Mallow-Dublin Road at Kildorrery between 7:00am and 7:30am on Sunday are asked to make it available to investigating gardaÃ, reports Breaking News.
