A man in his 60s who was taken to hospital in a serious condition following a serious burglary at his home in County Sligo early last year has died, reports RTE.
Tom Niland, from Skreen, who lived alone, suffered serious head and upper body injuries following the attack on Tuesday 18 January 2022.
Gardaí said he died early this morning at Sligo University Hospital, where he had been since the attack, reports RTE.
His family has requested privacy at this time.
Three men are currently in court charged in connection with the incident at Mr Niland’s home, reports RTE.
