Tributes have been paid to Garda Dee Finn who died while off-duty on a leisure break in Carrick-on-Shannon in Co Leitrim.
A fire broke out in the boat she was on with emergency services called to the scene at 8am on Monday morning.
Sadly, she was pronounced dead a short time later.
Gardai have paid tribute to Ms Finn, who was officially Detective Deirdre Finn of Dun Laoghaire Garda station.
They have set up a liaison officer for Ms Finn’s family and Garda colleagues.
No further details have been released at this time.
