The softly spoken lady, Kathleen Watkins has sadly died today at the age of 90.
Almost five years to the day after her husband died, the broadcaster Gay Byrne, the harp playing author died surrounded by her family.
Her funeral and burial will take place in Sutton Dublin at the weekend.
