A number of tributes have poured in this morning for Irish athlete Craig Lynch who sadly passed away at the age of 29.
Lynch from Co Cavan sadly passed away following a car accident over the weekend.
The news of Lynch’s death was confirmed by Shercock AC on social media, in a post the Atheletics Club wrote: “Following the tragic death of Craig Lynch, one of our most talented athletes, in a car accident last night, our thoughts and sympathies are with his parents, brothers, sisters, daughter, fiancee and all family members, indeed the whole Shercock community at this sad time. Rest in peace Craig.”
Lynch represented Ireland at the 2016 European Championships and took part at the World Relay Championships in 2015.
