In what can only be described as a tragedy of immeasurable levels, Irishwoman Denise Morgan has been shot dead by her boyfriend in New York.
Police in NYC say that Denise’s landlord heard a row between herself and her boyfriend in her Queens apartment with gunshot noises a short time later.
Sadly when police entered the building they found Denise shot dead, her boyfriend dead and a handgun beside him.
It hasn’t been confirmed but it’s highly speculated that Denise’s boyfriend cowardly shot her and then shot himself.
Denise was from Tullyallen in County Louth and her death has left people in her native county in complete shock.
Tributes have flooded in across social media since the tragic news broke out. Her family say they are devastated, describing Denise as a kind, funny and wonderful sister, daughter and friend.
