Tributes have poured in for the wife of of former Taoiseach Charles Haughey, Maureen Haughey who sadly passed away today.
Mrs Haughey aged 91, was also the daughter of ex-Taoiseach Sean Lemass sadly died after a short stint in hospital with an illness.
The news of Mrs Haughey’s passing was announced by he son Dublin North TD Sean Haugey on social media.
Mr Haughey wrote: “So sad to announce that my mother passed away peacefully this morning-A truly remarkable woman.May she rest in peace.”
