Authorities have confirmed that one child is among the dead following an incident in the German town of Trier this afternoon.
A 51-year-old man drove his car into pedestrians in the town’s centre, killing at least two and injuring no fewer than 15 others. The age of the child is unknown, but authorities say it’s a ‘toddler.’
German police have arrested the driver.
