There was bad news for multiple Olympic Gold medalist Usain Bolt today after it was revealed that he will have to hand back one of his nine Olympic gold medals.
Bolt the fastest man in the world and an Olympic record holder will have to gracefully return his 4x100m gold medal which won in Beijing in 2008, after his Jamaican team-mate Nesta Carter tested positive for a banned substance.
Carter who was a key part of the Jamaican relay team was one of 454 athletes selected for doping samples retested by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) last year, and has been found to contain the banned stimulant methylhexaneamine.
The news comes as a major blow to Bolt, 30, after he remarkably completed an unprecedented ‘triple triple’ in Rio last summer when he took home gold in the 100m, 200m and 4x100m relay to add to his successes in the same events in 2008 and 2012.
