With 121 patients on trolleys, University Hospital Limerick is the hospital most severely impacted by congestion.
Subsequently, there are 71 at the University Hospital in Cork and 44 at the University Hospital Galway and the Mater Hospital.
According to data from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation, 158 patients are in wards and 372 patients are in emergency rooms, reports Breaking News.
