Tubridy aims to go back on Air next week and remains RTE’s highest paid presenter

Ryan Tubridy remains RTÉ’s highest-paid presenter despite a reduction in his annual fee in 2021, reports Breaking News.

RTÉ released information on Wednesday about the fees earned by the ten highest-paid presenters in 2020 and 2021.

Tubridy’s media company, Tuttle Productions Ltd, received €440,000 in 2021 for the services of a Late Late Show presenter. Tubridy received €495,000 and €466,250 in 2019 and 2020 respectively.

Joe Duffy was the second highest paid presenter in 2021, earning €351,000, while Claire Byrne was third with €350,000, reports Breaking News.

Duffy received more in 2020 (€360,650), while Byrne saw an increase in earnings of almost €70,000 in 2021 compared to the previous year (€282,917).

RTÉ CEO Dee Forbes said the total earnings of the broadcaster’s top-earning presenters fell by 15 and 16 percent in 2021 and 2020, respectively.

Other high earners in 2021 include Ray D’Arcy (€305,000), Miriam O’Callaghan (€263,000), Brendan O’Connor (€245,004), Brian Dobson (€209,282), Mary Wilson (€196 €961), Maloney (€183,738) and George Lee (€179,131), reports Breaking News.
