The Olympic Council of Ireland (OCI) has said they are aware of media reports their president Pat Hickey has been arrested in Brazil. They have not yet commented on the reasons behind the arrest.
Brazil media are reporting that Hickey was arrested at the Hotel Windsor Marapendi hotel in Barra da Tijuca this morning at 7am.
The OCI acknowledged they aware of the reports and said they will issue a statement on the matter shortly.
Social media users claim he is involved and arrested over the ticket tout fiasco.
