A man has been arrested in the UK on suspicion of making threats to kill and sending threatening messages to TV star Piers Morgan.
According to RTE, Morgan reportedly received messages from a troll, telling him he was “a marked man” and that it was a “promise” that he was “getting killed”.
Morgan’s 28-year-old son, Spencer, also received threatening messages. Morgan tweeted about the situation, saying “Cowardly threats have consequences.”
He also told the The Sun newspaper: “People think it’s perfectly OK to make death threats to public figures on social media but it’s not – there has to be a line drawn, especially when family members are targeted.
The investigation is ongoing.
