Charlotte “Charlie” Fien is a 22-year- old pro-life activist with Down syndrome who has spoken in Ireland to massive crowds to preserve the eight amendment, which protects the right to life of unborn babies.

Fien has also spoken before the United Nations on behalf of people with DS. However, her twitter account which has around 2,000 followers was blocked by the social media giant for posting pro-life messages.

Fien has highlighted the fact that in countries with liberal abortion laws Down syndrome babies are highly likely to aborted, in England 90% of babies with Down’s syndrome are aborted, many almost at time of birth.

This has caused outcry and led Fien’s followers to ask why those who support aborting babies with disabilities are never censored in such a way.

Fien spoke at the Rally for Life in Dublin in March where she said

“I have watched a 1st-, 2nd- and 3rd-trimester abortion,” she said. “I have seen babies being ripped apart Their limbs ripped off their bodies! Abortion is MURDER but not just any murder; It’s murdering your own child!”
