Two men have been charged following a vicious assault on two gardai in the capital.
The incident happened outside a pub in Ballyfermot early on Monday morning.
A male garda was kicked and punched, and was knocked to the ground. He required hospital treatment. The female gardai was dragged away by the hair, but did not sustain serious injuries.
Two men, aged in their 50s and 30s respectively, are due in court today in connection with this incident.
