Two men have been taken to hospital after being injured in separate assaults in Letterkenny, Co Donegal, in recent days, reports Breaking News.
These incidents add to a growing list of attacks in the county’s largest town.
One man required medical care at Letterkenny University Hospital after he was assaulted on Lower Main Street at 1am last Wednesday, reports Breaking News.
Another attack took place on Saturday at around 4pm, when three men exited a vehicle and violently assaulted a man.
The attackers, who were in a silver Volkswagen car, targeted the man on Ramelton Road before driving off, reports Breaking News.
They left the scene heading toward the nearby shopping centre.
The injured man was brought to hospital where he received treatment for injuries that were not life-threatening, reports Breaking News.
Gardaí are asking for anyone who may have witnessed either of the assaults or who has relevant information to come forward.
These assaults are part of a string of violent incidents that have occurred in the town over the past few weeks.
A Garda spokesperson said “We wish to hear from anyone who was in the area and who may have observed these incidents. If anyone was in that area with a dash-cam between those times, we ask them to make the footage available to us. Gardaí may be contacted on 074-9167100 in relation to the matter,” reports Breaking News.
