Two men sustained gunshot wounds during a failed robbery at a take-away in Dublin overnight.
It is understood that a lone assailant entered the premises at Mezzoni’s, sited in the Edenmore Shopping Centre in Coolock, Dublin. He demanded cash before firing a number of shots. Two staff members were injured and taken to hospital, where their injuries are described as non-life-threatening.
Two men were later arrested in connection with the incident.
