A manhunt was launched after two men tried to kidnap a young child before a dog chased them away. The attempted kidnapping took place shortly after 10:40am on Wednesday morning at Ringwood, Hampshire, UK.
A woman and her 2-yr-old daughter were approached by two men who were interested in her dog, police announced on Wednesday night.
The woman says that one of the men picked up her daughter and ran with her to a nearby housing estate. But the dog chased after one of the men bit his leg, forcing him to drop the child.
Hampshire Police said the girl and her mother are now being assisted by special officers trying to find out what happened.
The couple were described as white, in their 30s and around 5 feet 7 inches tall.
Police say that they’ve launched a manhunt to try and find them.
