Two mothers who returned from a trip to Dubai and who have been ordered to spend 14 days in mandatory quarantine, have reportedly had two negative Covid-19 test results.
According to The Irish Independent newspaper, the two mothers received negative results after one of the women had an initial false positive result.
It is understood that results come after a number of Garda officers were requested to go into self isolation after the two women were arrested on Friday after they refused to enter mandatory hotel quarantine.
The women women are challenging the State over the constitutionality of the mandatory quarantine legislation, but they have now entered quarantine even though they provided three negative tests in the past week.
