Two people are recovering in hospital this morning after they were rescued from the River Shannon in Co Clare last night.
The two people a man and a woman aged in their 20’s, got into difficulty when they were jet skiing near Fort Henry. The Coast Gaurd was called at approximately 8.00pm when locals spotted that the pair in trouble after their jet ski had capsized.
It is believed the Killaloe unit of the Irish Coast Guard quickly rushed to the scene to rescue the pair.
The two casualties were taken by ambulance to University Hospital Limerick were they are being treated for exhaustion and hypothermia.
