Two British tourists have died after they fell from a promenade whilst trying to take a selfie in Alicante, Spain.
According to Spanish publication El Mundo, the two men fell from an elevated area overlooking Punta Prima.
The paper states that the two men fell after they climbed over the railing to take a selfie.
It is believed that one of the men died at the scene, whilst the other died in hospital due to the extent of his injuries.
Meanwhile a third man who is also believed to have been at the scene at the time of the incident has been treated for shock.
Authorities in the city say the railings put in place are in perfect condition, but an investigation into how the incident occurred is currently ongoing.
