Gardaí in Co Westmeath have arrested two women in connection with a human trafficking operation.
It is understood the two women aged 42 and 29, were arrested following a search at two premises in Mullingar, on Sunday.
Gardaí say the two women are being questioned in relation to a money laundering and prostitution operation in the area.
They added that the two women are currently being detained under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act 2007, at Mullingar Garda Station.
