Two women are recovering from serious injuries after being attacked by a dog at a house in Waterford city on Friday afternoon.
The attack happened at St John’s Park in Waterford at 1pm.
Emergency services were called to the scene and the two women, in their 30s and late teens, were rushed to University Hospital Waterford.
It’s understood that the dog was seized by the Waterford County Council Dog Warden.
Gardaí have said investigations are ongoing into the attack without giving details as to the dog’s breed.
