Gardai are investigating after The Helix Theatre is said to have received so-called threatening phone calls in relation to the upcoming guest appearance night with Tyson Fury.
Fury was due to be here next week with a night planned in Dublin and Cork. The Helix allegedly had graffiti sprayed on one of its windows.
Organisers deemed it better ot cancel both nights in The Helix and in Cork’s Opera House.
Messages were posted on social media by organisers that read:
“Unforeseen circumstances” in Dublin and “Circumstances beyond our control” in Cork forced the cancellation of both events.
