U.S. Embassy marks the one year anniversary of the Berkeley Balcony disaster by unveiling plaque to pay tribute to those who lost their lives in the disaster

It has been over a year since six young Irish students lost their lives in the Berkeley balcony collapse, and recently the U.S. Embassy in Dublin unveiled a plaque to pay tribute to those who sadly lost their lives that faithful day.

The plaque which honoured the lives of Nick Schuster, Eoin Culligan, Lorcán Miller, Ashley Donohue, Olivia Burke and Eimear Walsh was unveiled in the garden of Dublin’s US Embassy recently.

The plaque to the six Irish students was unveiled by Kevin O’Malley, the US ambassador to Ireland, and was accompanied by the planting of an apple tree.
