UEFA fines Russia with €150,000 and hands down a suspended ban due to fans’ violence

The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) has fined Russia €150,000 and also handed down a suspended ban over recent violence in the streets of France.

The team will remain in the competition for now, but faces being expelled if there is a repeat of violent episodes.

Russia’s supporters were found guilty by of crowd disturbances, racist chanting and throwing fireworks.
