A number of McDonald’s outlets in Edinburgh were banned from selling milkshakes while a political rally led by Nigel Farage was in progress nearby.
The move came after recent attacks on politicians and other public figures involving milkshakes and other dairy products.
Two notable right-wing politicians, Tommy Robinson and Carl Benjamin, recently had shakes and other food items thrown at them during rallies.
