Residents across the UK have been advised to ‘stay out of the sun’, as sizzling temperatures of up to 33C are expected throughout the coming weekend.
The hot weather coincides with a Bank Holiday weekend across the British Isles, prompting the Met Office to issue a Level 3 Alert -the second highest- for eastern regions of England, where temperatures are forecast to soar past 33C.
Here in Ireland, the weather is expected to be equally benign but will not reach heatwave status.
