Parts of the UK are in for a cold night indeed, as temperatures in some areas of Scotland are forecast to drop to -16C.
A number of other places around the UK may also see double-digit sub-zero temperatures tonight.
Authorities have warned of the extreme danger of venturing outside in such deep cold, and have issued advice to avoid driving unless it’s absolutely necessary.
