The Flakpanzer Gepard weapon system is a self-propelled anti-aircraft gun in use for several decades and regularly upgraded with modern electronics.
Gepards are equipped with a turret-mounted twin-barrel Oerlikon cannon that can deliver armor-piercing rounds at a firing rate of up to 550 rounds per min.
In one of the latest actions, Gepard platforms scored four Russian jets on Saturday.
