West-supplied heavy weaponry is exacting a grievous toll on the invader, particularly the 155mm howitzers, which the Russians loathe more than anything due to the devastation they cause to their ranks and installations.
Ukraine’s counter-offensive continues apace, slowly but surely gaining ground across eastern and southern sectors. Besides the ground offensive, Ukraine is engaged in a long-range bombing campaign of key Russian targets in the Crimean Peninsula. This steady degradation of Russia’s capabilities may very well be the prelude for a full-blown ground operation to retake the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea.
