A precision HIMARS strike by Ukraine killed no fewer than 100 Russian soldiers and injured at least another 100 in the town of Kreminna.
Conveniently, all the troops were neatly arranged in rows in one small area when the strike took place, so the barrage was spectacularly effective. The troops were patiently and obediently waiting, for over 2h, for their commander to give a pep talk.
Unfortunately for them though, Kreminna is well within striking distance of HIMARS batteries, one of the most efficient death-dealing weapon platforms in Ukraine’s arsenal. Combined with drone recon, it is an exceedingly versatile device.
Russian military bloggers quickly acknowledged the massacre, heavily criticizing military leadership for the profound stupidity of 1) concentrating such a large amount of troops in one small area within strike distance of enemy artillery 2) See point one.
