Ukraine counter-offensive: Russian army officers transferred to the east bank of the Dnipro River, leaving newly conscripted soldiers on the other side as cannon fodder while officers escape

There are reports that Russian army officers have been transferred to the east bank of the Dnipro River, leaving newly conscripted soldiers on west side as cannon fodder so top brass can make good their escape.

The tactic here is called a delay action, which is militarily sound, only problem is that the conscripts will be immediately massacred by Ukrainian troops when the battle for Kherson commences in the very near future.

At that point however, the officers would have been far away from the front line.
