Ukraine counter-offensive: Russian President rages following explosions at two air bases, with at least two nuclear-capable bombers heavily damaged and a fuel tanker destroyed

Russian President Vladimir Putin has reportedly raged hard after waking to the news of two air bases being hit.

Engels air base, which houses Tupolev-95 and Tupolev-160 bombers, was attacked overnight. This action damaged at least two prized aircraft.

The second action took place in Ryazan, southeast of Moscow.

At least three people were killed.

It is unclear what caused the damage, but Ukrainian drones are suspected of being involved in both raids. Other sources claim it could have been sabotage. In either case, military facilities in Russian territory are no longer safe, so Russia will need to invest considerable resources in protecting them, which will reduce its front-line capabilities even further.
