Ukraine continues conducting offensive operations in or near the Crimean Peninsula, which has been temporarily occupied since 2014.
The latest such operation involved a sea drone strike on a Russian missile carrier ship near Sevastopol on September 14.
The Samum, a Bora-class guided-missile corvette, was struck astern on its starboard side. The drone punched a gaping hole in the hull, causing the ship to list heavily. Tugboats reportedly did manage to tow the Samum back to port.
This successful operation follows a recent combined arms strike on a Sevastopol shipyard on September 13, which badly damaged or sank the Russian landing ship Minsk and diesel Kilo-class submarine Rostov-on-Don. Storm Shadow missiles were reportedly put to good use for that particular attack.
