Ukraine has pulled off a daring strike on Russian naval assets, with a capital landing ship heavily damaged.
The Olenegorsky Gornyak, a Ropucha-class landing ship, was struck by naval and air drones in Novorossiysk Bay, where a major Russian naval base is sited.
The ship was later spotted with a heavy list portside as it was towed back to base by tugboats.
The Black Sea port of Novorossiysk is notable as it hosts the terminus of a pipeline carrying Kazakh oil exports through Russia.
