Ukraine counter-offensive: Ukrainian combined arms strike lays waste to Russian shipyard facilities in temporarily occupied Crimea

A Ukrainian combined arms strike has reportedly laid waste to Russian shipyard facilities in temporarily occupied Crimea.

The attack, which involved at least 10 cruise missiles and several speedboats, began early on Wednesday morning, its main target being the S. Ordzhonikidze ship repair plant. Russia utilizes this facility to repair damaged ships from its Black Sea Fleet.

The strike caused major damage and started a large blaze at the shipyard. According to post-action reports, at least one Ropucha-class landing craft and a submarine were sent to the bottom of the sea. Many other military objects also sustained damage. The attack also likely inflicted major human casualties, but this information has not yet been disclosed.

Ukraine has vowed to retake Crimea, which was illegally annexed by Russia back in 2014.
