Lebanon has reportedly seized a cargo ship suspected of transporting grain stolen from Ukraine.
Lebanese authorities stopped the Syrian-flagged vessel Laodicea, after Ukrainian authorities reported that the ship was carrying grain taken from silos in Russian-occupied territories.
The Laodicea only switched on its tracker in the middle of the Black Sea, not at the beginning of its journey. This is a known tactic employed by Russia-affiliated pirates to prevent easy identification of the port where the ship departed from.
