Russia has cut off the electricity supply to Finland, a move that achieves nothing more than proving Russia’s desperation to appear tough in the face of impending starvation for millions of its citizens.

The electricity that flows from Russia only accounts for less than 10% of Finland’s total supply, so Finnish people can safely point and laugh at Russian President Vladimir Putin, who’s been reported to be suffering from ill health. The ailments might have been exacerbated by the unmitigated disaster of the Ukraine invasion.

The cherry on the cake is that Finland might join NATO in the very near future, a move that the failed Russian President himself prompted.
